Two Dreams, Two Ways – Ep. 44, Genesis 40 | Yeshua in the Tanakh

In Genesis 40, Joseph is in prison, though innocent. There he meets Pharaoh’s cupbearer and baker, who both have a dream. Johan Schep shows how Joseph serves them with compassion and honestly shares both the good and bad news. Then the cupbearer forgets him, and Joseph stays two more years in prison. Yet the Lord is with Joseph. Even the stops in his life are ordained by Him, who makes all things beautiful in His time.

In this chapter we also see the Lord Jesus. Rejected by His own and handed over to the Gentiles, He was crucified between two robbers. Like the cupbearer and the baker, one was restored and the other faced judgment.

Which way are you going? And how often do we forget Him, while He never forgets us?
